The Rope of ALLAH & Us (The Muslim Ummah)
“The Lasting Noor” is completely an education related platform although our students and followers are from all age groups but youth is the primary focus. We decided for that reason for no heavy social topics here. But with this recent unrest over long ongoing disasters over the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ raises a big question in every Muslim’s heart, Why? why us? why we are wounded everywhere? why this new wound over our already hurting body?
So, we need an answer and also a sound long term strategy to be out of it.
We have the answer to these questions very close to us but our attention is short lived which comes in action with every new unrest, we cry on our wounds and than after a while we get busy in our own routines with a sort of numbing effect on repeated traumas.
Our beloved Prophet ﷺ said to us Ummah is a single body. As a body it’s pains and gains all are common. We raise as “an Ummah” right after every disaster as nowadays in Palestine, we are active in caring together for this trial, that is definitely appreciable as a short term measures. But body needs care all the time, not only when it is sick and hurting. We take care of our own body everyday. isn’t it !!
Who we actually are in our life is different for each one. But as a part of this Ummah, every 1 person is equally important. A strong person is a strong brick of making stronger Ummah. Stronger one in worldly life/career and stronger in the relation with ALLAH’s book. Both of strengths are very much needed, for being a strong brick.
Each one of us has to analyse own self on the distance with ALLAH’s rope. Are we near to or catching it or very far from it or gripping it firmly. It’s not about our own selves now, Let me say that it is not our personal matter, each one of us is a brick of strength or a brick of weakness in Ummah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ. Which one am I? answer it for yourself.
Moreover if we are the one, only respecting Quran by keeping it high enough so that cannot be reached easily, only kissing it whenever touch and reading it when once in a while we have good time, good spiritual mood and good brain condition, we are not considered nearby to ALLAH’s rope. Or if we are one among who read Quran frequently for ajar without understanding it, it is like making a collateral gain our primary goal. It is like feeling the soothing effect of water without using it to wash & clean.
Quran is practical manual of our life, about which we don’t know how the life is. How desperately we read a manual when we are not knowing or confused about an important machinery. Very keenly, very deeply and very frequently.
The grip for rope of ALLAH and role of a person as a Muslim is a lifelong journey, not a short term emotional practice. Ummah is weak today because of lack of unity and no persistence in emotions as single body. These are lacking, as we are away from our centre of life ie rope of ALLAH - our Quran.
This is a time to think again who we are? We are Ummah Of Muhammad ﷺ, this identity should have the first priority in our life and all nationalism and personalism should come afterwards.
The rope of ALLAH and our connection to it should be at least this much that while searching for our life’s problems, decision making and confusions’ solution, we first search in Quran before googling or blindly trusting others.
This is the time to rethink our priorities. With the reliable mobile apps available for Quran in everyone’s phone, our relation with our Quran should be more and more stronger as it is so easy to access it now. So much ease and comfort is there to look and search topics into Quran, with Quran Explorer and in-Quran search apps. So much knowledge about Quran Arabic is easily available now which was never before this easy. Alhamdulillah.
So we are the chosen ones over banu isra’il (The previous Ummah), we are the witness over people, we are supposed to be this. Instead we are giving witnesses for each other’s invalid eeman and others are giving witness over our dishonest behaviours and unfaithful presence.
Muslims are who others see and say how balanced they are, how much of peace, honesty and moderate thoughts they have. We are the Ummah of balanced emotions, as It was in personality of our Prophet ﷺ. Are we ready to face him ﷺ ? are we working enough to deserve for Hisﷺ witness, as an Ummah?
This is the time to grip strong on ALLAH’s rope by our honest and persistent efforts and make us a strong brick in Nation of Muhammad ﷺ so that we can get His witness on a day which is not far. May ALLAH heal our body, over this tests for those who are directly in it and help us rise and shine again with holding the Quran very firm, very close to the hearts & brains. Rabbana aameen, aameen.
